Beaverbrook House

Beaverbrook House was the boyhood home of Lord Beaverbrook, a great benefactor to the province of New Brunswick, especially the Miramichi.  In 1952, Beaverbrook bought the building and turned it into the regions first public library.  The first librarian, Louise Manny, created the Miramichi Folksong Festival.  The building is open year round and guided tours take place from May to October.
